Manuscript Submission Guidelines

Requirements for formatting a scientific article for publication in the journal "Orleu. Uzdiksiz bilim zharshysi – Orleu. Continuous Education News" are compiled in accordance with the recommendations of EASE (European Association of Science Editors).

 

Articles for publication in the journal "Orleu. Uzdiksiz bilim zharshysi – Orleu. Continuous Education News" are accepted as the results of independent research presented in the form of articles:

 

- Research article: exposition of own conclusions and intermediate or final results of scientific research, experimental or analytical activities, containing author's developments, conclusions, recommendations, not previously published and possessing novelty; or dedicated to the consideration of previously published scientific articles related to a common topic (systematic review);

 

- Review article: a publication containing a summary characteristic, analysis, and evaluation of the state of science, technology, literature, and art for a certain period.

General requirements for the article
  • The number of co-authors of one article should not exceed 4.
  • No more than one manuscript from one author or the same author in a team of co-authors is allowed per issue.
  • If the article is rejected by anti-plagiarism or reviewer, the article is returned to the author for revision. The author can resubmit the article 1 time for anti-plagiarism or reviewing.
  • - The article must address a relevant topic and present the results of independent research.

  • - The title of the article should be clear and understandable, reflecting the content of the article.

  • - The text of the article should be logically consistent and concise; sentences should be relatively simple in structure and not overly long.

  • - The originality of the article should be at least 70%.

Formatting requirements for articles:
 - The article length, including bibliography, should not exceed 10 pages of text typed on a computer (Microsoft Word editor); the minimum article length is 5 pages.

- The article material should be formatted according to GOST 7.5-98 "Journals, collections, informational publications. Publishing design of published materials."

- The article is submitted to the editorial board via the electronic system of the journal's website.

- Font: Times New Roman, font size (pt): 12; single line spacing; text alignment - justified; paragraph indentation - 0.8 cm.

 

Attention! Before submitting the article to the journal, it is necessary to carefully check the overall spelling and punctuation of the article text, the correctness of the article formatting, and references.

When submitting the work for publication in the journal, the author guarantees the correctness of all information about themselves, absence of plagiarism and other forms of unlawful borrowing, proper formatting of all borrowed text, tables, and illustrations.

Requirements for the structure of scientific articles

 

Author information:

Surname (full), first name, patronymic (if any)

Affiliation/Institution

          Country, city of affiliation/institution

          ORCID (if available)

 

Author information is centered on the page, font size - 12 pt.

If there are multiple authors, they are listed separated by commas. The order of all authors is indicated by superscript symbols ¹˒²˒³.

          Affiliation/institution information, ORCID is provided on the next line in accordance with the superscript ordinal symbols (font size 10 pt., italic).

          The corresponding author is indicated by a superscript asterisk (*), and the email of the corresponding author is provided under the author information centered on the page.

          A separate line above the authors' surnames on the left indicates the UDC index.

 

2. The article title is placed one line below the author information centered on the page in uppercase; it is bolded; and contains no more than 20 words.

3. Annotation is formatted according to GOST 7.9-95 "Abstract and Annotation. General Requirements."

 

The annotation should meet the requirements of informativeness, content, and include:

- Brief information about the main problem outlined in the article;

- The aim of the article;

- Research methods;

- Research results, their significance;

- Conclusions.

 

The volume of the annotation is from 150 to 300 words, font size - 10 pt.

The word "Annotation" is placed one line below the article title on the left, italicized, and no period is placed after the word "Annotation." The text of the annotation starts from the line following the word "Annotation."

The annotation is provided in Kazakh, Russian, and English.

 

4. Keywords:

Keywords are intended for searching the text of the article and determining its subject area.

The list of keywords includes relevant scientific terms: at least 7 main terms or brief phrases used in the article; font size - 10 pt.

Keywords are placed immediately after the annotation. The word "Keywords" is italicized, followed by a colon, and keywords are listed in a single line separated by commas. The list of keywords ends with a period.

Keywords are provided in Kazakh, Russian, and English.

Annotations and keywords in the article's language precede the main text of the article. Annotations and keywords in other languages ​​are placed after the post-article bibliography.

 

5. Structure of scientific articles:

- Introduction

- Methods and Materials

- Results and Discussion

- Conclusion

- Funding Information (if applicable)

- List of References

 

Introduction includes justification of relevance, research aim, main problem it addresses. Introduction may include a brief review of scientific literature on the research topic.

Methods and Materials: This section describes the methodology, research methods, including data collection, processing, and analysis methods; characteristics of the sample (if using a sampling method); source of analyzed material, actual research material, including author's methods.

Results and Discussion include description and interpretation of the obtained results (with figures, tables, graphs, illustrations); exposition of the concept, arguments, logic of the research, scientific debate.

Conclusion: This section formulates conclusions based on the obtained results, compares the obtained results with existing ones on the topic; assesses the scientific novelty and practical value of the obtained results.

Funding Information: This section is included if there is a source of research funding (grants, state budget programs); information about it is provided.

The List of References is formatted according to GOST 7.1 - 2003 "Bibliographic Record. Bibliographic Description. General Requirements and Rules for Compilation," adopted by the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology, and Certification (Protocol No. 12 of July 2, 2003)".

The phrase "REFERENCES" is placed one line below the article text centered on the page in uppercase, font size - 12, bold.

The list of references is formatted twice:

1) in the original language of the sources (Kazakh, Russian, and other languages);

2) transliterated list of references (References) - formatted according to the international bibliographic standard APA (http://www.bibme.org/citation-guide/APA/book).

Sources in the list of references are numbered as they are mentioned in the text. No period is placed after the serial number.

References to sources in the text are given in square brackets [ ] sequentially; in the first mention, only the number is indicated, for example, [1], in subsequent mentions - the number, comma, page, for example, [1, p.5]. References to unpublished works are not allowed.

According to the editorial requirements, the bibliography should include at least 3 but no more than 15 sources. Self-citations should not exceed 30%.

The bibliography should include at least one publication from international Indexed Journals (SCOPUS, Web of Science).

The transliterated list of references (REFERENCES) is placed after the list of references, one line below, centered on the page, uppercase, font size - 12, bold. Sources are provided in the Latin alphabet according to the Rules of Transliteration.

Transliteration is not required for sources in English.

 

6. Annotations in two languages ​​other than the language of the article are placed after the REFERENCES.

 

Before the annotations, the author's surname and initials, affiliation/institution, country, and city of residence are indicated in the same way as the main author information (see point 1); ORCID and author's email are not specified. Then, the article title is centered one line below the author information in the same way as the main title (see point 2). Following this, the annotation and its keywords are provided in the same manner as the main ones (see points 3, 4).

 

Then, one line below in a similar way, the annotation in the next language is written.

 

7. Author information is placed after the annotations in two languages.

 

On the left side of the page, in lowercase letters, the phrase "Author Information" is indicated, font size - 12 pt., bold.

 

On the next line, the author's information is provided: author's full name (in bold), academic title, academic degree, position, affiliation, city name, country; email address (e-mail) first in Kazakh, then in Russian and English.

 

Author information is provided in the nominative case.

         

Requirements for formatting individual structural elements of the article

 

1. Tables

The table title is placed above the table, centered on the page, font size - 12 pt. It should be accurate, concise, and reflect the content of the table. The title includes the word "Table," its serial number, and a period.

The table is embedded after its title one line below. All tables in the text must have references, including the word "Table" followed by its serial number (Arabic numerals). For example: the indicators are presented in Table 1.

The table should be placed one line below the paragraph in which it is first mentioned, with a reference. The font in the table is 10 pt.

If several tables are presented in the article, their numbering should be consecutive. All tables must have a reference to the author (if the table is borrowed) or be signed "Compiled (developed) by the author." A reference to the author is written as "Source" on the left side of the page after the table, font size - 10 pt .; after the word "Source," a colon is placed, followed by the author's name.

2. Figures and illustrations are placed in the text as needed to explain the text. They should be positioned immediately after the text to which they relate, one line below, centered on the page.

 

Figures and illustrations are numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals, placed one line below the text, captioned in 10 pt font size, centered on the page. For example: Figure 1. Dynamics of changes in significant indicators of students' personal maturity (formative experiment).

 

The quality of the figures should be high: they should be clear, clean, not scanned; the text on them should be easily readable. If necessary, illustrations may have explanations, forming so-called "caption text."

 

The text of the article must contain references to figures and illustrations.

 

All figures must have a reference to the author (if the figure is borrowed) or be signed "Compiled (developed) by the author." A reference to the author is written as "Source" on the left side of the page after the figure, font size - 10 pt .; after the word "Source," a colon is placed, followed by the author's name.

 

Sample: After conducting surveys and interviews with respondents, a specific result of significant indicators of personal maturity for the surveyed individuals was obtained (Figure 1).

3. Formulas

    Each formula is placed on a new line, centered on the page, font size - 12 pt. Even formulas compared by the author are placed on separate lines. Formulas are separated from the main text using a one-line interval.

    If a formula is multi-line, it should be broken to the next line only at the sign of the operation being performed (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, etc.). In this case, the operation sign must be repeated on the next line.

The multiplication sign cannot be represented by a dot but only by the special symbol "×".

If formulas appear consecutively in the text, they should be separated by a semicolon (even if they are closely related in meaning). In other cases, formulas are parts of a common structure and follow general punctuation rules.

References to formulas in the text are formatted in round brackets - (*). Formulas are numbered consecutively throughout the text of the article, and the formula number is placed on the right side of the formula in round brackets.

4. Abbreviations and Acronyms

All abbreviations and acronyms, except for widely known ones, should be spelled out when first used in the text. Abbreviations and acronyms are formatted according to GOST 7.12-93 "State Standard. Bibliographic Record. Abbreviation of Words in the Russian Language. General Requirements and Rules."

5. Citation style

Citation style used - Vancouver style: numbered links

Attention! Articles that violate the rules or contain a large number of grammatical, spelling, punctuation, and stylistic errors, as well as those automatically translated into English/Kazakh/Russian languages, will not be accepted by the editorial board and will be returned to the authors without consideration. An article may be rejected or returned for revision at any stage of the process if significant errors, extensive borrowing, or incorrect citations are detected.
